Alongside finished paintings and drawings, the Simonson studio produces a continuous stream of exploratory drawings. These works emerge from regular drawing sessions in which ideas, poses, and compositions are tested directly on paper. Some lead to later works; many stand entirely on their own as resolved drawings. Many collectors appreciate these works for their immediacy and the direct view they offer into the artist’s creative process.
