THE GALLERIES: SFW and NSFW

The gallery portion of the site is divided into 2 sections, ART, which contains all G-rated works, and ART (Members Only), which contains all male-nude art.

Every artwork and product available is shown in these galleries of images, arranged with the newest first. Hundreds of drawings, paintings, prints, posters, books and e-books by Douglas Simonson are for sale here. By default, the most recent art is shown on the first page.

Click on each image for close-up views and more information.  Some works are available only as originals; others are available in limited-edition print or poster form. Some works are available in several forms, and you’ll see a drop-down menu showing you the various options.

What if you want to look at only paintings? Or only photographs? On the first page of either of the main galleries, you’ll see several categories near the top of the page: categories like Paintings, Drawings, Prints, E-Books, etc. Click on the category you’re interested in and you’ll be taken to that gallery.

VIEWING AND SHOPPING: WHAT’S AVAILABLE

ORIGINAL ART

Simonson original art comes in two categories, Drawing and Painting. All Simonson paintings are acrylic. Most are on canvas, but a few are on paper. All Simonson drawings are in pencil. Most are in graphite, although a few also incorporate colored pencil.

Rough Sketch

When a drawing or painting is a practice or preparatory drawing, or is simply less finished and more rough than a major work, it’s classified as a Rough Sketch. Most rough sketches are pencil drawings, but a few are acrylic paintings. A hallmark of a Simonson rough sketch is its surprisingly affordable price, usually between US$50 and $100.

PRINTS, POSTERS, PHOTOS

A Simonson print is a limited-edition print. Each print is signed and numbered, and only a certain number (like 100) are ever produced. This makes them more valuable. A poster is less expensive because there’s no limit on the number, and it may or may not be signed by the artist.

Photographic Print

Simonson photographic prints are not limited editions, but each one is signed by the artist.

All Simonson prints, posters and photo prints boast crisp, vivid high-resolution images printed in archival inks on heavy stock.

E-BOOKS, BOOKS, NOTECARDS

A Simonson e-book is a digitized book which is downloadable for viewing anytime on your computer or tablet. There are approximately 40 Simonson e-books available in the E-Books gallery. Downloading is fast and easy—you can be reading your e-book on your own device within minutes. If downloading is not practical for you, we also offer e-books on CD.
