STUDIO SKETCHES July-December 2025
This group of drawings was developed during the second half of 2025, through regular studio sessions in which the figure, the head, and the surrounding environment were explored directly on paper. Working quickly and from observation, these studies retain the immediacy of the moment while allowing for greater variation in approach—shifting between close portrait, full figure, and occasional color studies.
Some works serve as points of departure for later paintings; others resolve fully within the drawing itself. Together, they reflect a period of expanded range—direct, responsive, and grounded in the ongoing search for form.
