In 2001 I became part of the Gay Men’s Surf Club in Honolulu, and we used to meet every Saturday to surf somewhere on the island. That was also the year I photographed my Brazilian friend Paulo and my Hawaii-born Filipino discovery Rico.

Rico modeled for me at a friend’s home in Hawaii Kai.

Paulo, a Brazilian friend of mine who was living in Honolulu, modeled for me early one morning at Diamond Head Beach.
