Simonson Archives 1995
In 1995 I traveled to South Africa and Swaziland with my friend Doug Long, who knew the place well from his Peace Corps years. Back in Honolulu, I worked with new models Marlone and Steve G.
I created this painting from a photo I shot from the back of a Land Rover while on a mini-safari through the Mkhaya Game Reserve.
Here I am in Swaziland making my favorite comfort food, tuna salad.
